Acceptable use

The short version

A song from us is a gift for someone you love. Keep what you write and upload kind, true and yours to share. We don’t make sexual, hateful, violent or harmful content for anyone.

What you can’t ask us to make

You may not use personalizedsong.fm to make, or try to make, any lyrics, song, cover, picture or video that contains or asks for:

• Sexual content. No NSFW, explicit, pornographic or sexually suggestive words or pictures, and no nudity.
• Anything that sexualises or endangers a child. Songs for and about children are welcome. Anything that sexualises a child or puts one at risk is refused and reported.
• Hate or harassment. Nothing that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexuality, age, disability or illness, and nothing meant to bully, threaten, shame or stalk someone.
• Violence and harm. Nothing that threatens, praises or encourages violence, self-harm, suicide, terrorism, cruelty to animals or any crime.
• Impersonation and deception. No face swaps and no deepfakes. Nothing that makes a real person appear to say, sing or do something they didn’t, or that passes itself off as coming from someone else. No songs, covers or videos about celebrities, politicians or other public figures.
• Other people’s work. No copies of existing songs or lyrics, no imitation of a named singer or band, and no brands, logos or characters that aren’t yours.
• Private or unlawful material. Nobody’s home address, phone number, identity or bank details or medical details, and nothing that is illegal where you live or where we operate.

Photos for a music video

• Upload only photos you have the right to use, of people who would be happy to appear in the video.
• Upload photos of a child only if you are the child’s parent or guardian, or have their permission.
• No photos of strangers or public figures, and no nudity or sexual photos.

We redraw your photos as illustrations in the style you choose and set them to your song. We don’t put one person’s face on another, and we don’t make videos meant to pass as real footage of anyone.

How we check

Everything you write is checked automatically before any AI model sees it: your answers in the form, any change you ask for, lyrics you edit yourself, and the final lyrics before they are recorded. The check is run by Creem, the company that takes our payments, against its content rules. If something is blocked, nothing is made from it, and you are told so that you can change it.

The AI models that write, sing and draw have safety checks of their own, and we may review an order ourselves.

If these rules are broken

We may refuse or cancel the order, remove anything made from it and close the account, as our terms set out. We report illegal content, including anything that sexualises a child, to the authorities.

If you believe a song, cover or video made here breaks these rules, or uses your name, photo or work without your permission, write to us at the address below and we will look into it.

personalizedsong.fm is an independent service. The lyrics, songs, covers and videos are made with AI models built by other companies. We are not affiliated with those companies or endorsed by them.
