A story with a number on it

An anniversary is a story with a number on it. A personalized anniversary song tells that story back: where it started, what went wrong and turned out fine, what you still do every Sunday. Use it for your own anniversary, or give one to your parents for theirs.

What to put in an anniversary song

  • Where and when it started
  • The thing that went wrong on the day and became the best story
  • The habit you two have that nobody else understands
  • The number: one year, ten, forty
  • What you’d say in a toast
  • The song you called “your song” before this one

Hear it. See it. Watch it.

Every song comes with its own cover photo. Add a music video made from your own photos.

This is a short sample. A finished song and video run 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Questions people ask first.

Can I order an anniversary song for my parents?

Yes. Many anniversary songs are gifts from children to their parents. Tell us how long they’ve been married and the things you’ve watched them do for years, and the song is written about them.

Does it work for a first anniversary as well as a fiftieth?

Yes. A first-anniversary song might be about the wedding and the first flat. A fiftieth has a longer story to draw on. Either way the lyrics come from what you tell us.

How much does a personalized song cost?

It costs $24.99. We write and record five songs from your story, and you hear a 15-second preview of each for free. You pay once you’ve chosen the two you want to keep, and a third comes as a gift. Each song has its own cover. A music video is an optional add-on for $34.99.

What do I need to tell you?

A few details in plain words: who the song is for, the occasion, and the memories, phrases and inside jokes that make them who they are. You also choose the style of music.

How does the music video work?

The music video is an add-on for $34.99. You upload your photos, choose a tall video for phones or a wide one for the TV, and pick one of twelve styles, from pencil sketch to claymation. The photos are redrawn in that style, animated, and cut to the length of the song. It is ready 2 to 4 hours after you order, sometimes sooner.

Are the songs written by AI?

Yes. AI writes the lyrics from the details you give us and performs the song. What makes it personal is your story: the names, places and moments in the lyrics all come from you.

How long is a song?

A finished song runs 2.5 to 3 minutes, and so does the music video if you add one. The samples on this site are short clips of about 20 seconds.

Who’s next on the list?

Birthdays, weddings, Christmas morning, or an ordinary Tuesday. If there’s a person, there’s a song.

Browse all songs by person and songs by occasion.

We don’t write songs about love. We write songs about your parents’ Sunday dances.
