Your notes · for Finn

  • — Finn is five and wants to be an astronaut
  • — built a rocket from the fridge box
  • — counts down from ten before every launch
  • — always packs a snack for the moon
  • — make it blast off

Our draft · verse one

HeFinn is five in a cardboard rocket,

countdown from threeten with a snack in his pocket.

Flies past the tablesofa and lands on the moon,

says he’ll be back around dinnerhalf past noon.

Now it could only be about him.Fine. But it could be about anyone.

Five is going to the moon after lunch

In a rocket made from the fridge box, with a snack packed for the trip. A five-year-old boy doesn’t separate what’s real from what’s possible, and his birthday song shouldn’t either. It can launch from the living room, land on the moon and be home by half past noon, with his name in the countdown. Tell us what he’s building and where he’s going, and AI writes and sings a song for his fifth birthday.

What to put in a birthday song for a 5-year-old boy

  • What he’s building, and what it’s made from
  • Where he says he’s going in it
  • The job he’s chosen: astronaut, vet, digger driver
  • What he counts, and how far he gets
  • The snack he’d bring to the moon
  • The thing he’s proud he can do alone

Hear it. See it.

Every recording comes with its own cover photo. A music video made from your own photos can be added once you have your song.

This is a short sample. A finished song runs 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Questions people ask first.

Can the song be about space, dinosaurs or superheroes?

Yes. Whatever he’s living in this year, tell us the details: the rocket’s name, the planet, the mission. The song is written around them.

Can we stop and start it for games?

Yes. You download the song as a file, so it pauses and plays like any other track.

How much does a personalized song cost?

It costs $24.99. AI writes the lyrics from your story first, and you read them for free. You pay once they’re right. We then record them three ways, you hear a 15-second demo of each and choose two to keep, and a third comes as a gift. Each recording has its own cover. A music video is an optional add-on for $34.99, ordered once you have your song.

Can I get a refund?

No. All sales are final, because you read and approve the lyrics before you pay, and the recordings are made for you alone and delivered straight away. If the AI singer can’t record the lyrics you approved, you change them and we record again at no extra charge. If something you paid for doesn’t arrive or a file is broken, write to us and we make it again.

What do I need to tell you?

A few details in plain words: who the song is for, the occasion, and the memories, phrases and inside jokes that make them who they are. You also choose the style of music.

How does the music video work?

The music video is an add-on for $34.99 that you order once you have your song. You say which recording it’s for, upload your photos, choose a tall video for phones or a wide one for the TV, and pick one of twelve styles, from pencil sketch to claymation. The photos are redrawn in that style, animated, and cut to the length of the song. It is ready 2 to 4 hours after you order, sometimes sooner.

Are the songs written by AI?

Yes. AI writes the lyrics from the details you give us and performs the song. What makes it personal is your story: the names, places and moments in the lyrics all come from you. Before anything is recorded you can ask for changes up to five times, or edit the words yourself.

How long is a song?

Each finished recording runs 2.5 to 3 minutes, and so does the music video if you add one. The samples on this site are short clips of 20 to 30 seconds.
